(VERSE 1)

Jesus, the Man of wonders,

Of miracle and sign,

Revealed on earth among us

Authority divine.

And yet he was delivered

To death by sinful man;

Was crucified and suffered,

According to God’s plan.

But death could never chain him,

In agony and strife;

The grave could not retain him;

God raised him up to life.

 

(VERSE 2)

Jesus the King, anointed

As prophecy foretold,

The Christ, the Son of David,

Would every heart enfold.

For we are not abandoned

To die and to decay,

His resurrection opened

A new and living way.

So in our song we raise him,

Together with one voice,

In hope eternal praise him,

With confidence rejoice.

(VERSE 3)

Jesus the Lord is seated

At God the Father’s side;

All enemies defeated,

His name is glorified.

He pours the Holy Spirit

On all who will believe:

Repenting we inherit,

Forgiven we receive.

Now we proclaim his story:

The Man who chose to die;

The King who reigns in glory;

Jesus the Lord on high!
