May I Have The Mind (Philippians 2:1-11)

1          May I have the mind,

The mind of Christ my Saviour:

Who, though one with God,

His privilege surrendered.

Emptying himself,

Receiving the form

Of a humble servant,

In flesh and blood he was born...

Ch.   God has lifted him,

            Given him the name over all names.

Every knee will bow,

Every knee in earth and heaven.

Every tongue confess him Lord,

To the glory of God the Father.

2          May I have the mind,

The mind of Christ my Saviour,

Filled with love for all,

Compassionate and tender.

Lowering himself,

Ignoring the cost,

Totally obedient,

He met his death on a cross...
